Awards: All team awards are listed on the pool sheets under each division. 1st place awards are 12 Best of the Spring Championship shirts, one team trophy, and one FREE spot in the adidas fall camp to division MVP (selected by tournament staff). 2nd place awards are 12 Best of the Spring Championship shirts.

Note: No divisions have 12 teams or more. No divisions win sneakers (per requirement listed on the website)

Elite Sports is not responsible for team forfeits. Our staff will do what is best for the teams and kids by trying to schedule games to make up for team forfeits.

2010 Best of the Spring

Welcome to the official site for the Best of the Spring.

The sixth annual Best of the Spring will be sponsored by New England adidas Phenom Basketball and hosted by Elite Sports Events on June 4-6. The three-day event will be hosted at University of New Haven and Fairfield area schools, from Friday, June 4th through Sunday, June 6th 2010.

The 2010 event will include boys divisions - 10U-17U. While considerable attention will be focused on the prospects in the HS divisions, the Best of the Spring also provides recruiting services with a tremendous opportunity to scout the up-and-coming youngsters in the MS divisions. A series of elite players made their first mark on the regional/national scene at past Elite Sports Events, and more will gain exposure this summer.

HOUSING REQUIREMENTS:
In order to be eligible to compete in the 2010 Best of the Spring, all housing needs for the event must be completed at the Hilton Garden Inn Shelton 25 Old Stratford Road. Shelton, CT 06484. 203.447.1000. You will have an option to make reservations online, by fax or by phone.

Note: Only teams that need hotels for the event are required to stay at the host hotel. Teams that are commuting do not have to stay at the host hotel.

Fast Facts: Gym locations are conviently located off of I-95/I-91, I84and Rt. 15/Merritt Pkwy.

Best of the Spring
Mandatory Check-In is at least 45 minutes before the teams first game.

Saturday, June 5th 9:00 am - 10:00 pm
Sunday, June 6th 18th 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Cancellation Policy: No refunds will be accepted 31 days prior to the event or May 11, 2010.

Divisions with 12 total teams or more: Division Champions will get 12 pairs of FREE Team adidas Basketball sneakers and 12 adidas Championship t-shirts.
All other division Champions with less than 12 teams get 12 adidas Championship t-shirts and HUGE team trophy.
AAU Teams in the past are from: Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Rhode Island, Massachuttes, Delaware, Vermont, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, Maine, & Wisconsin.
Championship MVP's in the will be selected and get a FREE Invitation to the Fall adidas Phenom Basketball Camp @ Sacred Heart University.
Recruiting Services will be in attendance all weekend writting articles and taking pictures.
